NOVEMBER 2022 || We are offering breedings at a discount for: earning mares, producing mares, multiple mares, and those mares that don't fit in any of those categories but have special or important promise to the future of the western performance horse industry. NORTHERN METALLIC's dam LITTLE COW HOUND was trained to cut but was not shown due to injury as a 3 year old, and we know there are many mares that didn't get a chance to prove themselves for various reasons but should get that chance. Please consider NORTHERN METALLIC for your good mares.
AUGUST 2021 || NORTHERN METALLIC is headed South to continue his show career under the guidance of Jake Telford. Canadians interested in breeding to "Harley" can contact Charles Ranch Equine in Ashcroft, BC for frozen semen, or import fresh cooled or frozen from Outback Stallion Station in Caldwell, ID.
JULY 12, 2019 || Thank you to everyone for their kind words about NORTHERN METALLIC. While it is incredibly gratifying to receive congratulations and compliments, I want to acknowledge Harley's connections from Day 1, all the people who actually got him to where he is today: my father, John Katerberg, and my mother, Mary Katerberg, agreed to look after my horses long after they had retired from their own jobs and Dad looks after the mares and the foals from birth until they embark on their careers; Tracey Foster Duriez, Todd McAleney and Diana Foster start them on their ground work at their beautiful Desert Acres Arabians ranch; Aaron Lagadon and Ryan Burnett started Harley under saddle; and John Swales, Deanne Swales and team kindly took him into their program and have made him a superstar. Huge thanks to Natalie Jackman for her classy photography.
